迹化

Teaching or lessons derived from external events, i.e. of the Buddha's life and work, shown in the first fourteen sections of the <Lotus Sutra>; the second fourteen sections of that work are called [lang id =1028]本化 his direct teaching. The lessons from the external indications are called [lang id =1028]迹化十妙 the ten marvellous indications, cf. [lang id =1028]十妙.
